About the Employment Network

The Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services is growing our Employment Services as an established Employment Network in the Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work (TTW) program.) We are dedicated to serving individuals who are neurodivergent and/or have intellectual or developmental disabilities to obtain and maintain meaningful employment. By choosing the RCAAS as an employment network you have access to our clinical staff, resources, and established employment partners that result in proven successful employment outcomes.

Ticket to Work is funded through SSA and is free for anyone ages 18-64 who receive SSI or SSDI due to their own disability. The goal is to increase your earnings through sustaining gainful employment and to gradually get off of SSI or SSDI benefits.

The RCAAS as an Employment Network

The RCAAS is:

  • An Employment Network with staff who have expertise on individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other cognitive impairments
  • The only EN paired with one of the New Jersey’s largest employers, Rutgers University

A diagnosis of autism is not required to participate in Ticket to Work through the RCAAS; however, we are best equipped to help individuals with cognitive impairments (autism spectrum disorder, Down’s Syndrome, organic brain syndromes, and developmental disabilities such as ADD/ADHD.) Many of our staff members are trained to specifically help adults on the autism spectrum get into the workforce and higher education. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other cognitive impairments are highly encouraged to submit their ticket with us.
