Through the Ticket to Work Program, participants receive free employment services to:

  • Decide if working is right for them
  • Prepare for work
  • Find a job

Additionally, SSA will not conduct a Continuing Disability Review (CDR), which determines if you will continue to receive benefits based on your disability, if your Ticket is “In-Use” with an EN and you meet SSA’s Timely Progress requirements.

The RCAAS as an Employment Network

The RCAAS is:

  • An Employment Network with staff who have expertise on individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other cognitive impairments
  • The only EN paired with one of the New Jersey’s largest employers, Rutgers University
  • A veteran-led institution. The Founding Executive Director of the RCAAS, Christopher Manente, is a proud veteran of the 101st Airbourne Infantry Division of the US Army

A diagnosis of autism is not required to participate in Ticket to Work through the RCAAS; however, we are best equipped to help individuals with cognitive impairments (autism spectrum disorder, Down’s Syndrome, organic brain syndromes, and developmental disabilities such as ADD/ADHD.) Many of our staff members are trained to specifically help adults on the autism spectrum get into the workforce and higher education. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other cognitive impairments are highly encouraged to submit their ticket with us.
